the goods

In September of 2006, I decided to "up-root" from my hometown of Pensacola. I have never lived any other place since I was born (unless you count a very brief, somewhat awkward, residence in Gainesville in 2000) so this was a very big deal. But, it was definitely time for a change, and following in the footsteps of my big sister, I decided to spread my wings in Tampa (and dragged my son along for the ride). While it was hard to leave a place I love so much, having family close by has definitely made the journey easier. My mom lives in the St. Pete area and my sister, Michelle, her husband, Scott, and my handsome nephew, Austin, live , literally, right around the corner.

In January of 2007, Charlie also made the move to the area which has been a blessing for myself and jackson as well.

So here we are, Loving Life, making memories, and, doing our very best to live each day to it's fullest potential.

Jackson is learning to swim....

except I guess that means he needs to loose the swimmies and the boogie board.....

He loves the water and wants to swim by himself so badly, but he gets so freaked out when it comes down to it...

We are gonna try again this weekend....

fishin' buddies

love'em! Charlie LOVES to fish, but hasn't had the best of luck reelin'em in since moving to Tampa (yet another reason for him to long for p'cola). This can be very frustrating for the avid fisherman!! I told him we shoud invest in a bigger boat (HA!), but I guess the kayak will have to do for now. Regardless of the action, he always enjoys taking his lil' fishin' buddy along! by the way....anyone know the hot spots to fish in Tampa? (I know, it's awfully tacky and wishful thinking to expect a man/woman to reveal their fishing spots....just thought I give it a whirl)! Should be a nice weekend....maybe he'll catch the big one...

after many, many requests....(really just anna&michelle)

I will post yet another goodie of my life. ...My family is incredible! we have had an amazing year together so far. I am a little homesick (from p'cola) which is where my pops lives, but am so blessed to have my sister and my mom so close..... Easter was great, my unbirthday is still being celebrated, even as we speak, and God continues to open doors and show me all the blessings in my life through (not only family) but my amazing friends as well.

Some of us girls spent the better part of the weekend in Jacksonville. We had the opportunity to see Beth Moore speak (if you haven't ever seen her, make it a point before you leave this Earth!). She is an incredible motivation and is absolutely on fire for God.
Other than that, life is the same. We are all getting geared up for my nephews 1st birthday ( what an incredible joy in my life) next month and can't wait to see what other marvelous things God will unveil in our lives.
The weather here has been gorgeous, and I can't think of a better time of year than Spring. It's all about new beginnings........

my "un-birthday"

Well, just to put your mind at ease, we did not dress up like the characters from Alice in Wonderland and have a Mad Hatter tea party (although, come to think of it, this might have turned out to be an equally good time). Michelle and Scott offered to take me to see Michael Buble in concert to celebrate my un-birthday. What an amazing and very talented singer he is. Not to mention sexy as all get out.....ladies, you know this man is a slimeball! It was so much fun and I will definitely do it again. Charlie stayed home with the kids (ha) and was very sweet to do so.

All in all, it turned out to be a great night. Thanks to my awesome sister and brother-in-law for always inviting me to take part in their glamorous lives!!
